How To Lose Weight Without Dieting

In 2013 I went on a strict diet to lose weight for my wedding.

It didn’t work.

Not only did dieting make me feel miserable and insecure, it also detracted from my engagement experience – I mean come on, what’s an engagement without a glass of champagne or a chocolate cupcake?!

I had to let go of diets and deprivation to discover my ideal weight, and boy am I glad that I did.

So, if you’ve been wondering how to lose weight without dieting, today’s post is for you. Read on for the three diet-free rules I live by, and a sampling of the Mind Body Bride lifestyle — workouts, recipes and relaxation tips included!

How To Lose Weight Without Dieting

It’s easy to fear that, without dieting, you’ll never get the bridal body of your dreams. But it’s time to let that misconception go.

If you’re ready to live at your ideal weight it’s time to break the rules of the diet and fitness industry. This week try to implement these three simple tips:

  • Listen to your body and stop ruminating on what you should or shouldn’t be eating. Eat when you’re hungry and stop when you’re comfortably full (sounds simple huh? It took me some practice to get there!)
  • Remember that no food is good or bad, it’s just food. Nothing is off limits and, when eaten mindfully, even the fudgiest treat can be good for the soul.
  • Spent more time engaging in your engagement, and less time worrying about your weight. Where attention goes power goes, so give power to your relationship and watch everything else fall into place.
