4 Simple Valentine’s Day Date Ideas For Brides

Happy Valentine’s Day you beautiful bride! Have you made special plans for today?

Perhaps you’re more like me and love simply having a day without any plans at all!

One thing that I won’t be doing is spending too much time online, Sundays are a low-tech day for living in the moment … V-Day or otherwise.

But I did want to pop by with a couple of last-minute date ideas that I think are fun and romantic, without being too crazy, and will help you have a real connection with your hubby-to-be.

Whatever you do, try to take a break from wedding planning and enjoy your first (or last) Valentine’s Day as an engaged couple. It’s simply wonderful.

4 Simple Valentine’s Day Date Ideas For Brides

Go to the Farmer’s Market!

This is one of my favorite Sunday activities to do with Nate as it gets us out of the house and planning what delicious and healthy meals we’ll make together each week. I also loving sneaking some porcini mushroom ravioli into our basket!

Simple Valentine's Day Date Ideas

Play Board Games

I love board games and we recently/finally bought Scrabble (it has been on the over-due list for years, believe me). Sunday mornings and Thursday nights have become Scrabble time, with a coffee or glass of wine and some relaxing music it is pretty damn romantic!

Make Chocolate Mousse

This mousse recipe is one of my favorites to eat at any time of the day. Date days are less fun once you’ve come down from the sugar crash, but this chocolate mousse is as delicious as it is nutritious #winwinnomnom

Take A Long Walk

I love the conversations that Nate and I have when we go for long walks. Leave the phone at home, pull on a coat if it’s cold, and head outside for a walk and a little tête-á-tête.

Now I’d love to hear from you! What is your favorite, low-key date idea? I’m always looking for new inspiration so please leave a comment below!

With love,

Jennifer Dene XO

Bridal Bootcamp: The Strapless Dress Workout

Today’s wedding workout has three main benefits: to tone your arms, to improve your cardio, and to make you feel like a total badass. I’ve chosen moves that will primarily target your upper body (hello strapless dress), but there’s also a good bit of love shown to your abs and legs. When I edited this…

Why Brides Need To Rethink Weight Loss

I don’t want to be another health expert who stands here and says: “living at your ideal weight is easy”. Because for many women the ability to create a body and life that they love seems needlessly complicated, and even unattainable. I get it. For many years I struggled with low self-esteem, eating disorders, and…

Bridal Bootcamp: Full Body Bridal Workout

Tie those laces ladies; bridal bootcamp is in session! All you need for this workout is lots of energy, and maybe an exercise mat! Even if you don’t have that energy right now, I want you to do the workout anyway. Remember that exercise actually boosts your energy, improves your mood, and is just a generally…

Healthy Date Ideas On A Wedding Budget

Stuck in another date rut? Wedding planning killing your love life? I get it. While getting takeout from your local spot and watching movies on Netflix is fun, sometimes you need to bust out of that comfort zone. If saving for the wedding has your purse strings pulled tight, then hitting up expensive bars and restaurants might…

7 Day Full Body Bridal Workout Challenge

We’re kicking off the new month (and almost a new season) with a full body bridal workout that includes some of my favorite moves. But this workout is a little different most — it’s a 7 day challenge to help you feel motivated to exercise! For many women the problem with working out starts at…
