Tie those laces ladies; bridal bootcamp is in session! All you need for this workout is lots of energy, and maybe an exercise mat! Even if you don’t have that energy right now, I want you to do the workout anyway.
Remember that exercise actually boosts your energy, improves your mood, and is just a generally awesome thing to do. Yep, that’s my winning argument for why you should exercise: general awesomeness.
But before we train I wanted to quickly mention why I started using a microphone during our workout sessions. (Remember the good old days when I didn’t know about lighting and often did a voiceover?). Well, what happened was that I started receiving regular comments from women who were feeling a little … inadequate, I guess. They would mention how easy I made the workouts look, and how they would never look and feel that way during exercise.
Words like: “absolutely not co-ordinated”, or “I just don’t know how you’re smiling”, and even “as graceful as a monkey’s uncle” were thrown around.
So I decided to stop the voiceovers, clip on a mic, and start huffing and puffing my way through the workouts. One day I might even share the blooper reel…
The fact is that wherever you are right now in your health and fitness journey is the perfect place to be. I want you to feel proud of where you are at, and show up to each workout being comfortable in yourself.
Because I’m totally comfortable with gasping for air right alongside you.
(Full disclosure: for those of you who work with me 1:1 I think we’re going to stick with the voiceovers for a little while longer. I really can’t imagine talking my way through some of those sequences!)
Alrighty, enough chit-chat. Let’s get this show on the road.
